A new lift for Wakefield Intermediate Care Unit

Wakefield Intermediate Care Unit is a facility in West Yorkshire which operates on a patient referral admission process following advice from external hospital and nursing staff.

The unit provides 7-day short term in-patient nursing and therapy for members of the public requiring extra support, care and rehabilitation before they return to their place of residence.

Sheridan Lifts were enlisted by Engie Construction to project manage the lift replacement of an existing facility with installation of a brand new, 2 stop hydraulic VVVF drive 8-person lift which we sourced from our friends at Kleemann Lifts.  Sheridan Lifts are adept and highly experienced with both straightforward and more complex projects for the healthcare industry and this is one of many examples of our work in this sector.

We conducted a structural survey of the existing shaft on behalf of the client prior to works commencing.

This turnkey project involved full removal of the existing lift facility, oil removal, stripping the shaft, associated builders works and installation of wrap around architraves following the installation of the new lift.

The brand new lift has handed over to the unit in October and is currently in full operation, with a 12 month warranty.

If you are looking to upgrade your existing lift or in search of a reliable lift company for repairs, do bear us in mind.
