The latest in our meet the team series, sees us talking to Mark Stapleton, our Business Development Manager, who joined Sheridan Lifts in January 2012.
Mark is a road cycling and mountain biking fanatic, and can often be found taking to the hills when he is not in the spatial confines of a lift shaft!
Mark has an extensive track record in the lift industry having worked in the industry for over 25 years – starting lift as an apprentice served lift engineer and service adjuster within a large, multi-national major lift company. In addition to this Mark has worked in the Eastern Province in Saudi Arabia, as well as having held positions as Lift Technician, Service Manager and Sales Director within UK lift companies.
As described above, Mark has experience of various size organisations, and was attracted to Sheridan Lifts by being able to build a personal relationship with the Directors of the company and the ability to develop a joint strategy. He has found that by working in the independent sector of the market, he has been able to truly develop the correct solution for every project he has undertaken.
When asked about what aspect of the role he currently enjoys the most, Mark pointed to working with a fantastic team of people with a positive and can-do approach to every aspect of the organisation.
His core duties are centred around the sale and delivery of complex lift modernisation projects, and points to a recently completed triplex modernisation amongst his major successes in the role.
Mark has added a huge level of expertise to the job role, and has implemented many key new systems into the business, as well as taking Sheridan Lifts into the Lift Consultant’s market place, with many tailored solutions already delivered expertly, with several more already secured for 2013.
