Marketing Manager at Sheridan Lifts and chief blogger!

It’s time to tell you about one of our latest endeavours. Our staff are in training for the annual Lift Industry Cycling Challenge which brings together people from companies here in the UK. This year the challenge is a rather daunting sounding 250km over two days!

The ride itself will take place between Leicestershire and London and also take in an overnight stay at a campsite near Wallingford with full entertainment provided. Find out more about the route and the challenge here: https://www.liftindustrycyclingchallenge.co.uk/

The ride will take place on the weekend of 10/11 July 2021 and we have Daniel, Dylan, Matt and Chris signed up and raring to go. Here’s Daniel going shopping earlier this week!

Briefly the trip comprises:

First leg (day one): From ILE in Leicester to campsite – 160km

Second leg (day two): From campsite to Dewhurst Factory in Feltham, London – 90km

…I’d say it sounds like a great knees up, even though the knees might be a bit sore after the 100 mile first leg! I can only doff my cap in admiration of all the cyclists who are taking this challenge on. Monday morning in the office will be fun, I’ll make sure we have some muscle rub ready for the tired joints!

I sat down with our Operations Director Daniel Sheridan who told me:

“We are delighted to be supporting the Lift Industry Cycling Challenge after such a tough start to the year”

“I’m in training right now. Getting into better shape via healthy eating and I’ll be getting my bike out for some trial runs before the big weekend”

“As a company we are making a donation to the official Lift Industry Charity as well as raising money for our own charity which is Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

You can sponsor us here. Please know that they do amazing work for families across the UK and we are proud to be raising money for them”

“Please give generously knowing that every penny will help them”
