Sheridan Lifts to help with the homeless and vulnerable this Winter

As part of our ongoing business commitment to serve the community of Greater Manchester in any way we can, I’m delighted to announce that Sheridan Lifts are to be the main sponsor of the Christmas Comforts and Big Coat Day 2019.

You may have read recently on our blog that we are to be host drop off point for the Hits Radio Cash for Kids Christmas Collection and further to this we are holding a series of fundraising days as well as a huge presents collection right here in our offices.

This latest event runs in support of our friends over at FC United of Manchester who on an annual basis, arrange a collection of winter clothing to assist the homeless and vulnerable during these cold winter months here in Manchester. The Big Coat initiative has been running since the club’s inception in 2005 and FC United have worked with several charities to provide warm clothing to those who need it in most in the region.

Christmas Day is a special day for many and a challenging day for some.

On this day, the doors of the stadium at Broadhurst Park will open, providing Christmas dinner, clothing, toiletry packs, presents for the children and a host of party games and activities. There will be a team of volunteers that will give up their Christmas Day (and the days leading up to it) to try an and make a difference to those who need it most.

Sheridan Lifts are the main sponsors for this event and we are delighted to be helping out in any way we can.

Christmas Day though does not signal the end as BIG COAT DAY is scheduled for 11th January. The clothing collected along with any surplus items from Christmas Day will ensure that vulnerable people are supported into the new year.
