St Patrick’s Church is not only a place of worship for the people of Miles Platting, Ancoats & Collyhurst, it is very much part of their history.
Being a place close to the heart of our CEO Anthony Sheridan, Sheridan Lifts offered to help with the ongoing maintenance costs of the church. Being aware the church and the adjacent convent relied on the four lift units on the premises, Sheridans contacted Fr Clarke and offered to service the lifts FOC.

Anthony Sheridan, CEO of Sheridans said:
“I was taught in the infant and junior schools and hold great memories of my time at St Patrick’s. Myself and my family are from Miles Platting & Ancoats and the church is important to all of the community in the area.
“Hopefully the money that has been saved on lift maintenance can now be be used for good causes for the church.

“We all turn to the church in our lives, it was just my way of giving something back.
“Maybe other businesses or ex pupils could offer similar services to the Church. I know they would be very grateful”.
Fr Clark says:
“I was amazed when I was first approached by Anthony Sheridan, an ex pupil of St. Anne’s school. He offered to look after our 4 on site lifts free of charge, as a giving back to the church and our local community.
“It all happened very quickly, he and Darren his service engineer came and the lifts were serviced within a week!

“I would like to thank Anthony and his team, first for this very generous offer, and also for how quickly and efficiently the work was carried out.
“I look forward to his team looking after us for the foreseeable future.”
