I thought it might be nice to tell you a little bit about the work we do here with hotels.
And as well as that, we have a nice little job to tell you about in today’s blog, as Sheridan Lifts have been enlisted to expand our portfolio of work within hotels at a site beginning in the next couple of months or so.
Possibly one of our most prestigious historic hotel jobs was the installation works we carried out in the form of brand-new passenger lifts at the Hilton Garden Inn at Lancashire County Cricket Club. Since then we’ve installed lifts at other premises across the UK including for the easyHotel chain in Sheffield and Leeds, and at the luxurious South Lodge Spa Hotel in Horsham. Read more on those jobs here.
In addition to those lift installation works that we carry throughout the UK, we also maintain lifts throughout the country including at the Stay City Hotel in Manchester, the Yorkshire Hotel in Harrogate (where we also carried out a full lift modernisation) and at the Mitre Hotel at the Shambles in Manchester.
As a business, we offer lift maintenance contracts for all types of lift, including those lifts fitted by other companies. For us, hotels are very much an emerging market and an area where we are starting to see some real traction. Working in hotels requires respect, sensitivity and patience, especially as hotel guests are more often than not inconvenienced by our presence on site.
So, onto profiling our latest hotel job, which is at the lovely Grains Bar Hotel near Oldham, surrounded by 9 acres of rolling farmland within easy each of the Pennine Way. This is proper walkers’ paradise and visitors can take advantage of organised trips and walks by contacting the hotel directly.
As you can see, it’s a beautiful location. The hotel offers something of a boutique experience with just 23 bedrooms, and the proprietors pride themselves on the warmth of welcome and quality of food with tapas dishes something of a speciality.
Here at the hotel, an SL7000 platform lift is soon to be installed with the help of our supplier Gartec Lifts. Thanks to our client M Swift Building Contractors for this tender, and we look forward to commencing works when instructed by our client.
